10월 15일에서 19일까지 스페인 바르셀로나 국제컨벤션 센터에서 개최된 2022년 유럽핵의학회(EANM 2022)에 212컴퍼니가 디자인한 (주)브라이토닉스이미징의 양전자단층촬영(PET) 스캐너가 출품되어 큰 관심을 받았다는 소식이다. 

기존의 암 진단에 특화된 전신용 PET-CT는 수십억 원의 도입 비용과 매우 큰 설치공간이 필요하기 때문에 이를 보완할 수 있는 뇌전용 PET 시스템에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 설치 공간, 도입 비용을 줄이면서도 더 높은 성능을 내는 고해상도 다목적 PET 시스템으로 알츠하이머 치매 및 경도인지장애 조기 진단 및 치료 효과 판정의 정확성을 높이고 비용을 낮추는 데 기여하게 될 것으로 기대되고 있는 제품이다.

On October 15-19, Brightonix Imaging's positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, designed by 212 Company, was exhibited at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM 2022) held at the Barcelona International Convention Center, receiving significant attention. 

There is increasing interest in brain-specific PET systems as conventional whole-body PET-CT systems require very expensive installation costs and large installation spaces. Brightonix Imaging's multi-purpose high-resolution PET system is expected to contribute to increasing the accuracy of early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment and reducing costs by reducing installation space and costs while maintaining high performance.
